  1. APS, i, 539-40. Source stated to be 'From a collation of deeds, nearly of the same tenor, preserved in the Chapter House, Westminster [now TNA]. Two of these have not the date of commencement of the deed, as is found in the other, and as here printed; and those two give the following erroneous date at the conclusion 'Done a Edenburgh le xij jour de Feverer lan de la Incarnacion notre seigneur J'hu Crist selone le cours del eglise de Rome mille trois centz trentisme tierz et de notre regne second'. The modern TNA reference may be SP 58/1/6 (not viewed), which is in fact a certified transcript made in 1677. Back
