Procedure: election of regent
The persons nominated in leets for the office of regency

Archibald [Campbell], earl of Argyll, lord Campbell and Lorne, James [Douglas], earl of Morton, lord of Dalkeith, chancellor, John [Erskine], earl of Mar, lord Erskine.

The which day the said Earl of Mar, lord Erskine was elected to the said office of regency to our sovereign lord, his realm and lieges, during his highness's minority, by plurality of voices of the said estates and others above-written.
