Proclamation to pursue the rebels

The which day, [James Stewart, earl of Moray], my lord regent's grace, with the advice of the lords of secret council, ordains letters to be directed charging all the inhabitants of the sheriffdoms of Perth south and west of the Tay, the stewartries of Strathearn and Menteith, the sheriffdoms of Stirling, Clackmannan, Kinross, Fife, Linlithgow, Edinburgh principal and within the constabulary of Haddington, Berwick, Roxburgh, Selkirk, Peebles, Lanark, Renfrew, Dunbarton, Ayr and the bailiaries of Kyle, Carrick and Cunninghame, that they and each one of them, well-equipped in preparation of war, with 20 days' victual and provision, address themselves to convene on 10 March next to come for pursuit and invasion of the rebellious subjects, disobedients to our sovereign lord's authority, after the form of an act to be extended hereupon, under the pain of forfeiture of life, lands and goods.
