2The quhilk day Maister Henry Laudere, advocate to oure soverane lord, exponit in presens of the kingis grace and thre estatis of parliament how that his grace had rasit summondis apoune the airis of umquhile Robert Leslie, to heire his name and memour deleit and extinct for certane punctis and crymes of lese majestie committit and done be him or his deceise, and tharefor all his gudis, movable and unmovable, pertening to him the tyme of the committing of the said cryme and sensyne to be decernit to pertene to his grace. And because it is murmurit that it is ane noveltie to raise summondis and move sic ane actioune aganis ane persoune that is deid, howbeit the commoune law directly providis the samin, nochttheles, for stanching of sic murmour and that his grace tendis on na sort to move or do ony thing bot that he may do justlie be the avise of the thre estatis, tharefor, desirit the saidis thre estatis to avise tharupoune, and that his grace may have the sensement of parliament quhidder that he hes ane actioune to persew sic summondis or nocht. The hale estatis spirituale, temporale and commissaris of burrowis, all in ane voce, but variance or discrepance, hes deliverit and concludit that his grace hes just cause and actioune to persew the said summondis and all utheris siclik summondis of tresoune done and committit aganis his persoune and commoune wele conforme to the commoune law, gude, equitie and resoune, nochtwithstanding thare is na speciale law, acte nor provisioune of the realme maid tharupoune of before.
