Item, as to the artikle tuiching the halding of justice airis, the lordis thinkis expedient that justice airis be haldin universalie out throw all the realme, and to begyne at Abirdenek, the v day of Februare nixt tocum, and fra thyne furth to Forfaire, Perthe and uther partis neidfull beyond Forth, and therefter at the schyris on this syde the water quhare maist mister is of halding of justice airis, and at the justice clerk and his deputis passe and ressave dittay within all schyris as accordis.

Thir are the lordis chosin to remane with the kingis grace quarterlie as efter followis: that is to say, fra this day furth quhill All Hallowmess nixt tocum, the Archibischop of Glasgw and Erle of Anguse, and with thaim in company the Bischop of Orknay, the Erle of Mortoune, the Abbot of Halirudhouse, the Lord Setoune and the Abbot of Arbroth.

The secund quarter, that is to say, fra All Hallowmess to Candilmess, the Bischop of Abirdene, the Erle of Arane, and with thaim the Bischop of Brechin, the Erle of Eglintoune, the Abbot of Paslay [and] the Lord Forbes.

The thrid quarter, that is to say, fra Cadilmess to Beltane, the Archibischop of Sanctandrois, the Erle of Ergile, and with thaim the Bischop of Dunkeld, the Abbot of Cambuskynneth, the Lord Erskin [and] the Lord Flemyng.

The ferd and last quarter, fra Beltane to Lammess, the Bischop of Dunblane, the Erle of Levinax and with thaim the Bischop of Cathnes, the Erle of Glencarne, the Erle of Montrose and the Abbot of Scone.

Item, the hail lordis referris the exercitioune of the kingis maist noble persoune to the discrecioune of the lordis being with him for the tyme.

Item, as to the artikle to avise apoune the ordouring of the kingis houshald, the lordis will considere and ordour the sammyn incontinent efter that thai have concludit apone the punctis concerning the parliament and or' the ending of the chekkere.

Item, as to the artikle tuiching tha quenis grace, the lordis will provyde therfor as accordis, or the conclusioune of the parliament.

Item, that summondis of tresoune be maid aganis the gret lordis that ware chargit be oure soverane lordis lettrez to haif cumin to this present parliament for sic urgent necessiteis as occurris, to be summond aganis the nixt parliament for sic caussis as the kingis advocate sal think expedient to libell aganis thaim etc.

Item, anent the eschewing of attemptatis or truble to be maid besyde the kingis grace, the lordis ordanis the lawis in sic caissis to be kepit in tyme to cum. And the lordis being with the kingis grace for the tyme to put the samin to executioune, with certificatioune to thaim and thai do not, thai sall be accusit as assistaris to thai committeris of the said crymes.

9Item, it is statute and ordanit that, becaus menis selis may of aventour be tint, quharthrow gret hurt may be generit to thaim that aw the samin, and that menis selis may be fenyeit or put to writingis efter thar deceis, in hurt and prejudice of oure soverane lordis liegis, that therfore na faithe be gevin in tyme cuming to ony obligatioune, band or uther writing under ane sele without subscriptioune of him that aw the samin and witnes, or ellis, geif the party can not wryte, with the subscriptioune of ane notare tharto.

11Item, it is statute and ordanit that, forsamekle as the actum dampnable opunyeounes of heresy are spred in diverse cuntreis be the heretik Luthere and his discipillis, and this realm and liegis has fermelie persistit in the halifaithe sene the samin was first ressavit be thai and never, as yit, admittit ony opunyeounes contrare the Cristin faithe, bot ever has bene clene of all sic filthe and vice, therefore that na maner of persoune strangeare that hapnis to arrife with thare schippis within ony part of this realm bring with thaim ony bukis or werkis of the said Lutheris, his discipillis or servandis, desputt or reherse his heresyis or opunyeounes, bot geif it be to the confusioun therof, and that be clerkis in the sculis alanerlie,12 under the pane of escheting of thar schippis and gudis and putting of thar persounes in presoune; and that this acte be publist and proclamit out throw this realme at all portis and burrowis of the samin sa that thai may allege na ignorance therof; and all uther the kingis liegis, assistaris to sic opunyeounes, be punist in semeible wise and the effecte of the said acte to strik apoune thai etc.13
