Judicial proceeding: endorsements proved by oath and witnesses

The which day compeared Carrick pursuivant and made oath that the said endorsements made by him upon Margaret Forrester, widow of the late James Colville of Easter Wemyss, James Colville, son to the said late James, and others, his bairns, was just and true and proved the same sufficiently by Alexander Hutton, messenger, John Cargill, John Rannie and John Kerry, with diverse others.
