Procedure: those adhering to protest
And the duke of Hamilton, the duke of Atholl, the earles of Erroll, Marischall, Buchan, Eglintoun, Wigtoun, Galloway and Selkirk, the viscounts of Stormonth and Kilsyth, the lords Sempill, Oliphant, Blantyre, Bargany and Kinnaird, George Lockhart of Carnwath, Andrew Fletcher of Saltoun, Mr William Cochran of Kilmaronock, Sir Humphray Colquhoun of Luss, Robert Rollo of Powhouse, John Murray of Strowan, Mr James Carnagie of Phinhaven, David Grahame, younger of Fintrie, Alexander Mackye of Palgown, Alexander Edgar, Alexander Duff, Francis Molison, Archibald Scheills, Mr John Lyon, Mr John Carruthers, George Home and Mr Robert Fraser, adhered thereto.
And after some furder debate it was agreed that none of the above protests be insert at lenth in the minuts or printed, but that they be all recorded and insert in the records of parliament.
