Act in favors of the tennents of Enzie and Strathbogie
The estaits of parliament, now presentlie conveined in this thrid sessioun of the second trienniall parliament, taking into thair consideratioun ane suplicatioun givin in be Archibald, merqueis of Argyll, for himselff and in name and behalff of his tennents of Enzie and Strathbogie, landis of Cabrach and barony of Gartly, schewing that for the releiff of great soums of money whilk he wes ingadged for the lait merqueis of Huntlie he wes forcit to tak possessioun of the landis of Enzie and Strathbogie, conforme [to] the richts which he hes therof, and that the suplicant did expect that he sould have gottin his maills and dewties of his saidis landis for satisfieing of ane pairt of the anuellrent of the soums restand to him; bot that the tennents and possessors of the saidis landis hes bein so disabled with the insuportable burdings lying upon [them], both by the outputing of levies both for horse and foot and by ovirburdining of the saids landis with mantinance and uther publict dewis, that the suplicant hes bein altogidder disapointit of any benefeit of the saidis landis. And thairfoir suplicating that the saidis estaits of parliament wold give warrand for ane new valuatioun of the saidis landis and that the saidis landis be not burdened for payment of mantinance or levies of horse or foot for any of the saids landis that sall be fund waist, bot that they may be exeimed; and that what quarterings hes bein or is yit restand be the tennentis and possessors of the saidis landis may be allowit in thair mantinance, and that the heritors and possessors of the landis foirsaidis may not be urgit to put out moir nor the just proportioun of the bodies of men within the saidis lands and not with horse, armes nor money, as at mair lenth is conteined in the said suplicatioun. Quhilk, with the report of the committie thairanent, being takine into consideratioun be the saids estaits of parliament, they have recomendit to the committies for rectifieing of the valuatiouns within the severall shyrs of Abirdeine and Banff respective to rectifie the valuatiouns of the saidis landis of Enzie and Strathbogie, landis of Cabrach and barony of Gartly. As lykwayis the saidis estaits ordanis that the saidis landis and lordschips abonewrittin be not burdened with any publict dewis or impositiouns of other landis bot are to be lyable in thair proportioun allenarlie, and that the waist landis be exeimed from payment of any mantinance or outreik of horse or foot. And sicklyk they statut and ordaines that the bygane quarterings upon the saidis landis and lordships be allowit for the bygane mantinance the tyme the saids landis wer quartered wpon, and that the quarterings in tymecoming be lykwayis allowed in the mantinance thairof as the same shalbe dew. And farder the saidis estaits statuts and ordanis that inregaird the saidis landis are to be revalued, they are not to be further burdened in tyme coming with horse, armes or money bot according to that revaluatioun, and that they are not to be tyed in thair outreik of foot to the commoune rollis but to ane new and just roll according to the fensible men to be maid up by the declaratioun and subscriptioun of the minister and tuo elders in everie parosch.

Act in favors of Colonell Cockburne, late governour of Stirling
The estaits of parliament, now presentlie conveined in this thrid sessioun of the second trienniall parliament, taking into thair consideratioun ane suplicatioun givine in to them be Colonell Johne Cockburne, late governour of the castle and toune of Stirling, shewing that quher the estaits of parliament latlie conveined in the second sessioune of the second trienniall parliament, having takine to ther consideratioun ane suplicatioun givin be him to them makand mentioun that quher the committie of estaits be ther act of the dait the tuentie day of July jM vjC and fourtie sevine, haveing red and considerit the accompt givin in be him to the auditors who wer then appointed be the saidis committie to reveise the samyne, did approve thairof and accordinglie then declaired the publict debtor to him in the soume of ten thousand, thrie hundreth and fyve pundis Scottis and that for the causes conteinit in his said suplicatioun, and quhilk soume the said committie be thair said act did oblidge the estaits of this kingdome to mak payment to him of. Quhilk suplicatioun being remitted be the saids estaits of parliament to the committie of comoune burdings to sie the samyne instructed, and being reported be them, with thair opinion anent the payment thairof, the saids estaits of parliament be thair act of the dait the fyftine day of Mairch last by past have ordainit the foirsaid soume of ten thousand, thrie hundreth and fyve pundis restand to him in maner and for the cause speit and sett doune in the said act to be payit to him, and that out of the rediest and first of the fyns and borrowit moneys to be upliftit. And for his moir suir payment therof, the saidis estaits did recommend to the committie of moneys that some effectuall course might be takine for payment to him of the said soume and as the extract of the said act of parliament present to shaw beirs. And now sieing the said committie of moneys as yit hes takin no course for his satisfactioun bot hes desyrit him to suplicat the saidis estaits of parliament, thairfoir humblie desyring the saidis estaits of parliament, in consideratioun of the premises, to tak some effectuall course quhairby he may be presentlie satisfied and payit of the foirsaid sowme of ten thousand, thrie hundreth and fyve pundis restand to him in maner abonespeit as the saidis estaits sould think meitt, as at mair lenth is conteinit in the said suplicatioun. Quhilk, with the report of the committie thairanent, being takin in consideratioun be the saidis estaits, they have recommendit and recommends the suplicant to the committie of moneys for payment and satisfactioun to him of the soume of ten thousand, thrie hundreth and fyve pundis Scottis as the soume fund restand to the suplicant for the which the publict is debitor.
