Act appointing Sir Johne Weymis to be generall commissar
The estates of parliament, haveing tane to ther consideration the report of the grand committie concerneing the great obstruction fund be them in ther procedor and taking course for provyding of magasens of victuall by the want of a commissarie generall, and finding the Lord Humbie altogidder unwilling to accept that charge, and heirwith also considering and haveing reall proofe and experience of the affection and fidelitie of Sir Johne Wiemys of Bogie and of his abilities to exerce and discharge the office and place of thesaurer of the armie and generall commissar of the kingdome, the saidis estates of parliament did therfore unanimouslie, eftir voyceing, nominat, elect and choose the said Sir Johne Wemys of Bogie, knyght, to the foresaid place and office to be thesaurer of the armie and to be generall commissar of the haill kingdome and of all the forces, armies, regiments and companies leveyed or to be leveyed and imployed within the same, with all priviledges, honors, fies and casualities belonging therto, with power to him to nominat and constitut deputs, ane or mae, to serve in the said place. And ordanis the clerk of registere to draw up ane commission in favors of the said Sir John Wemys to the foresaid place and office.
