Legislation

The prelates granted to the king for the passage of 6,000 men in France, to pay their fees, £2,000, and the barons £2,000, and the commissioners £1,000, with which the king was content.

Also the same day, on the advice of the three estates, the king ordained that, in time to come, there should not be a double tressure around his arms, but that he should bear the whole arms of the lion without any more.

Also the same day our sovereign lord, with the deliverance of his three estates, annexed and united the earldom of Orkney and the lordship of Shetland to the crown, not to be given away in the future to any person or persons except to one of the king's legitimate sons only.
