Forsamekle as Archibald, marques of Argile is appoynted to goe alongis with the armie as president of that committee of estates that goes theirwith, and wheareas it is fitting that there sould be some companies of horse readie to attend the committie and his lordship, and that a compleit allowance be appoynted to thame, theirfore the convention doeth declaire that what ever gentlemen or otheris will willinglie furnishe and provyde themselves with horse and armes and attend the service foresaid, they sall have pay conforme to the rest of the horsemen in the armie, and their foote men, haveing snap gunnes and swordis, sall have the pay of foote souldiers.
