Ratificatione to the Erle of Kinnoull of his take of the teyndis of Cousland

Our soverane lord and estates of this present parliament ratifies and approves the lettir of take and assidatione made, set and granted be our soverane lord, the kingis majestie, for himselfe and as lord of the lordshipe and regalitie of Dunfermeling, with advyse of his hienes great thesaurer, comptroller and collectour of the said kingdome of Scotland, his hienes depute in the saidis offices, and als of the remanent lordis of his hienes exchekker of Scotland, his hienes commissioneres, to his hienes right trust cusigne and counsellour George, earle of Kinnoule and his assigneyes and subtennentes for the dayes, yeeres, termes, tyme and space of the lyftyme of the said George, now erle of Kinnoull; and eftir the decease of the said George, erle of Kinnoule, to his aires maill and assigneyes for all the dayes, yeeres, tymes, termes and space of the lyftyme of his first aire maill; and efter the deceis of the first air maill for all the dayes, yeeres, tyme, termes and space of the lyftyme of the air maill of the said George, erle of Kinnoule, his first air maill foirsaid; and eftir the deceis of the second air maill for all the dayes, yeeres, termes, tyme and space of nynteene yeeres nixt and immediatlie falloweing the tyme of the said second air maill; and eftir the expyreing of the first nynteene yeeres, for all the dayes, yeeres, tyme, termes and space of other nynteene yeeres nixt and immediatlie thereftir fallowing; and eftir the ishe and expyreing of the said second nynteene yeeres for all the dayes, yeers, tyme, termes and space of other nynteene yeeres thereftir fallowing, sua that the said take and assidatione shall endure for the haill space of three lyftymes and three nynteene yeeres thereftir abovespeit, successive eftir otheres, for all and sindrie the teyndshaves of all and sindrie the toun and landis of Cousland, with the pairtes, pendicles and pertinentes therof, lyand within the pareochine of Innereske and shereffdome of Edinburgh, beginand the entrie of the said take at the dait thairof underwrittin, for yeerlie payment to his hienes and his successours haveing right to the said lordshipe and regalitie of Dumfermling, ther chalmerlanes and factoures present and to come, dureing the spaces respective abovespecified off the soume of threescore sex pundis therteene shillingis four pennyes money of this realme of Scotland of maill at the feist of Candillmes, as the said letter of take and assidatione wnder his majesties privie seale of the dait the sevint day of Maii j^M vj^C therttie sevine yeeres at mair lenth beeres, in all and sindrie the heedis, poyntes, clauss, articles, circumstances and conditiones thairinconteaned and eftir the forme and tennour thairof in all poyntes. And our said soverane lord and estates of parliament willis and grantes and, for his hienes and his successoures, decernes and ordeanes that this present ratificatione of the said take is and shall be alse valied and sufficient and of als great force, strenth and effect to his hienes said trust cusigne and counsellour George, earle of Kinnoule, his aires, assigneyes and otheres haveing right to the said take fra him for bruiking of the saidis teyndis thairinconteaned dureing the space and yeeres abovespecified thairinmentionat as if the said take wer all at lenth speciallie ingrossit and inserte heerin de verbo in verbum, notwithstanding that the samene be not sua done; quhairanent, and with all otheres defectes and imperfectiones whilkis may be proponit or alledged aganes the said take, or this present ratificatione thairof and validitie of the samene, our said soverane lord and estates of parliament, for his hienes and his successoures, hes dispensit and be thir presentes dispenses for evir.
