Act anente the keeping of the castle of Edinburghe
The quhilk day the kingis majestie, with advyce and approbatione of the estates of parliament, nominat and elected Alexander, erle of Levin, lord generall, to be capitane and keeper of the castle of Edinburghe, to whom his majestie, with advyce and approbatione foirsaid, committes the custodie and keeping of the said castle and gives and dispones to him, as capitane and keeper therof, the hail rentes, dewties, liberties and priviledges belonging and apperteineing thairto to be bruiked and intrometted with be him in tyme comeing for the keeping of the said castle; quhilke castle his majestie, with advyce and approbatione of the saidis estates of parliament, ordeanes to be put and keeped in the conditione the same was before the late troubles, and thairfore ordeanes the said castle to be delyvered to the said Alexander, erle of Levine and he put in possessione therof.
