The quhilk day our soverane lord and estates of parliament, taking to consideracion the service done to this kingdome be James, lord Almont, leiuetennent generall of the haill forces therof dureing the late troubles, his majestie and estates foirsaidis acknowledges that the said James, lord Almont deserves ane recompence for his cariage in that great chairge as levetennent generall foirsaid; and, being willing to give him some testimony and tokine of ther remembrance of the same, his majestie and estates of parliament hes remitted, and heirby remittes, the quantitie and maner of payment of the foirsaid recompence to the committee appoynted be the king and parliament for the commoun burthingis of this kingdome.
