Act of ratificatione in favoures of the burroues
The quhilk day the kingis majestie and estates of parliament ratifies and approves the act of the committie of estates of parliament, granted be the committie upoun the tuentie sevinth of Maii 1641 yeeres, with consent of the nobilitie and commissioneres of shyres and burroues then conveened, in favours of the burrowes anent ther releese of the payment of ane hundreth and tuentie thousand gilderes wndertane be the burrowes to be payed and advanced be theme to the factoures at Campheir, in the quhilke it is declaired that incaise they be not repayed of the foirsaid soume by the meanes and courses prescryved be the said committie, that in that caise they shall be repayed thairof be a pairt of the 300,000 lib. sterling of the brotherlie assistance from England, as the said act of committie of the dait foirsaid more fullie proportes, in the haill heidis, articles, clauss and conditiones of the samene act, and declairs this present generall ratificatione therof to be alse valied and sufficient as if the said act were ad longum insert heirintill; quhairanent his majestie and estates dispenss for evir.
