Procedure: overture by the Earl of Dunfermline and Lord Loudoun
The Erle of Dumfermeling and Lord Loudoun desyred the estates to take to ther consideratione his majesties letter and the groundis therof when they conclud anent the acceptatioune or refuse of this commissione, and that in the voyceing therof the samene be not nakedlie and seperatlie considerate, but in ane conjunct way with relatione to the said lettir and to the recommendation and groundis therof floweing from his majestie represented by the Erle of Dumfermling and Lord Loudoune, and that the estates should ansuer the whole heidis of the kingis lettir.
