Act in favour of the minister of Bruntiland

Oure soverane lord and estates of this present parliament ordaines ane ratificatioun to be maid thairin ratifiand, approveand and, for his hienes and his successors, perpetuallie confirmand, lykas, be the tennor heirof, our said soverane lord and estates of parliament ratifies, approves and, for his hienes and his successors, perpetuallie confirmes the letters of gift and mortificatioun maid, givine and grantit be his majesties umquhile darrest father of eternall memorie James, king of Great Britane, France and Ireland, defendar of the faith etc., with consent of umquhile Maister Johne Prestoun of Pennycuik, than his hienes collector generall of the thrids, superplus and omitted benefices within the realme and kingdome of Scotland, and als thesaurer to his majestie of his hienes new augmentationes of the kirklands of the said realme of Scotland to the crowne, wnder the privie seale, of the dait at the court at Roystoun, the tuelt day of October, the yeir of God jM vjC and nyne yeirs, quhairby his hienes said umquhile darrest father, with consent forsaid, for his hienes and his successors, gave, grantit, assignit, disponit and mortifiet to the new paroche kirk of Bruntiland thairin mentionat and to the minister serving the cure thairof than present, and quha sould happine to be for the tyme perpetuallie in all tyme coming, the soume and yeirlie stipend of fyve hundreth merks money of this realme of Scotland, to be payit to thame yeirlie furth of the reddiest and best payment of his hienes saidis thrids, superplus and omitted benefices within the said realme of Scotland, and of the fewmaills, fermes, rents and dewties of the kirklands annexit to the crowne be his hienes said umquhile darrest father and his successors, and be thair generall collectors, thesaurars of thair augmentationes and uthers intromettors thairwith, and addebted in payment thairof than present and that sould happine to be for the tyme yeirlie at the terme of Mertimes, beginnand the first yeirs payment at the terme of Mertimes nixt thairefter, the said yeir of God jM vjC and nyne yeirs, and sua furth yeirlie thaireftir at the terme forsaid perpetuallie in all tyme coming, as the saidis letters of gift and mortificatioun maid thairupon of the dait forsaid in thameselfes at mair lenth beirs in all and sundrie the heades, pointes, pases, clauses, articles, circumstances and conditiones thairincontenit, and efter the forme and tennor thairof in all pointes. And oure said soverane lord and estates of parliament wills and grants and, for his hienes and his successors, perpetuallie decernes and ordaines that this present ratificatioun of the saidis letters of gift and mortificatione abonewrittine is and sall be of als great strenth, force and effect to the said minister of Bruntiland, present and to come, for bruiking of the said yeirlie soume and stipend of fyve hundreth markes to be payit yeirlie furth of the saidis reddiest and best payment of the saidis thriddes, superplus and omitted benefices within the said kingdome of Scotland, and of the saidis few maills, fermes, rents and dewties of the saidis kirklands annexit to the said crowne be his hienes and his successors, thair collectors, thesaurars of thair augmentationes and uthers intromettors thairwith, and adebted in payment thairof, present or that sall happine to be, for the tyme yeirlie at the said terme of Mertimes perpetuallie in all tyme coming, as if the saidis letters of gift and mortificatioun abonewrittine war all at lenth de verbo in verbum heirin ingrossit and contenit; quhairanent oure said soverane lord and estates of parliament hes dispensit and, be thir presents, dispenses for ever, and that the said ratificatioun be farder extendit in dew forme as effeirs.
