Attoure our said soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the saidis estates of parliament, finds, decernes and declairs for his hienes and his successors the foirnamit thrie chartors, with the precepts and instruments of sasing past thairupon, to have beine frome the begining and to be now and in all tyme coming perfyte, lawfull, valide and sufficient heretable infeftments, richts and secuirities to the said Sir James Makgill, now of Cranstoun Riddell, as air and successor to the said umquhile David, his brother, thair saidis umquhile father and guidsir, and to the said Sir James, his airs and assignais, for bruiking and joysing heretablie and perpetuallie in all tyme heirefter of all and haill the saidis lands and baronie of Cranstoun Riddell, annexis, connexis and all thair pertinents abonerehearsit, with the richt of patronage of the said personage and viccarage of Cranstoun and all uthers comprehendit in the saidis chartors or any of thame.
