Act in favour of Johne Oliphant of Bachiltoun

Oure soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the thrie estates of this present parliament, be thir presents ratifies and approves the chartor maid and grantit be his majestie under his hienes great seale, of the dait at Halyrudhous, the tuentie thride day of Junii, the yeir of God jM vjC and threttie tua yeirs, to and in favours of Johne Oliphant of Bachiltoun, his airs and assignais quhatsumever heretablie, of all and sundrie the lands and uthers thairin specifiet, quhilks ar all thairby unite and annexit in ane haill and frie baronie callit the baronie of Bachiltoun, togider with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon, in all and sundrie pointes, heads, articles and clauses thairincontenit efter the formes and tennors thairof. Lykas his majestie, with advyse and consent forsaid, be thir presents statuits and ordaines that this present ratificatioun is, and sall be, als guid and sufficient in all respects as if the forsaid chartor, with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon, wer at lenth and word be word insert heirintill, dispensand heirby with the not inserting thairof in this present ratificatioun; and that the forsaidis chartor, with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon, with this present ratificatioun of the samyn, ar and sall be sufficient, valeid and lawfull richts and secuirities to the said Johne Oliphant and his forsaidis for the peacible bruiking and joysing of the lands and uthers forsaidis contenit in the said chartor in all tyme coming for payment of the dewties contenit in the same chartor; and ordaines thir presents to be ane sufficient warrand to the clerk of register and his deputts for extending of ane act of parliament heirupon in dew and competent forme.
