Act in favour of the burgh of Kinghorne

Oure soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the thrie estates of this present parliament, ratifies, approves and confirmes the chartor maid and grantit be his majesties umquhile darrest father of worthie memorie, wnder his hienes great seale, of the dait at Edinburgh, the tuelt day of December, the yeir of God jM vjC and ellevine yeirs, containing ane confirmatione of all chartors, infeftments, sasings, confirmationes, erectiones, donationes, titles, licences and priveledges quhatsumever maid and grantit be his majesties said umquhile darrest father or be umquhile King Alexander, or be umquhile King David, or be umquhile King James the Fyft, or be any uthers his majesties progenitors to the burgh of Kinghorne, burgeses and inhabitants of the said burgh and thair predicessors and thair successors of the samyne burgh, and of all lands, heavines, harberies, milnes, loches, water ganges, anuelrents and uthers belonging to the said burgh or possest be thame, thair tennents and vassalls in thair name, at any tyme preceiding the dait forsaid of the said chartor, with all priveledges and immwnities thairin contenit and haill contents thairof, and conteining ane new erectioun and incorporatioun of the said towne and burgh of Kinghorne with all and sundrie houses, biggings, lands, tenements, yeards, aikers, waists, tofts, crofts, ruides, mylnes and uthers lyand within the borrow ruides and territorie thairof and uthers thairin mentionat, in ane frie burgh royall callit the burgh of Kinghorne. And lykwayes conteining ane new gift, assignatioun and dispositioun and incorporatioun to the said burgh, proveist, baillies, counsall and frie burgeses thairof and thair successors off all and sundrie houses, biggings, tenements, yeards, aikers, ruides, waists, tofts, crofts and uthers lyand within the saidis borrow ruides and territorie thairof, togider with the mylne lyand within the said burgh, callit the Nethir Mylne, millands, multers and suckin thairof, with the Loch of Kinghorne and water going thairof fra the said loche to the said Nether Milne of Kinghorne, as also all and sundrie the lands callit the Gallowhill, with the loneing and passage leiding fra the said burgh to the said Loche of Kinghorne and fra the said loche to the said Gallowhill, with the pertinents, the lands and myre callit Kethy Myre, with the pertinents, the lands callit Roddingbrae, with the pertinents, the lands callit Kirksteids, with the pertinents, the lands callit the commoun of Kinghorne, with the pertinents, the lands callit the Eister and Wester Myres, with the pertinents, the lands and myre callit the Bow Buitts, with the pertinents, the lands and myre callit the Mylnemyre, and with all and sundrie uther lands, infield and outfield, far and neir, pairts, pendicles and pertinents thairof, with the heavin and harberie of the said burgh of Kinghorne and coquett thairof, and the heavin and harberie callit Prettie Cur besyd the said burgh, with all and sundrie customes, heavening silver, anchorages and uthers dewties and casualities quhatsumever perteining and belonging thairto, and the tua yeirlie frie fairs mentionat in the said chartor and sundrie uther priveledges and liberties thairin specifiet, to be haldin of his majestie and his successors in fewferme, frie burgage and frie ports and heavens for ever for payment of the dewties thairin mentionat, with the precept of sasing following upon the said chartor and instrument of sasing givin be vertew of the said precept in all pointes, articles and clauses thairin contenit, eftir the forme and tennor thairof. And declairs, statuits and ordaines this present ratificatioun of the saidis chartor, precept and instrument of sasing is, and sall be, als sufficient in all respects as if the samyn wer insert heirintill and that the samyne sall be sufficient richts, titles and secuirities to the proveist, baillies, counsall and burgeses of the said burgh and thair successors for bruiking and joysing of the said burgh with the forsaidis houses, biggings, lands, tenements, yeards, aikers, waists, toftes, crofts, ruides, mylnes, multers, heavens, harberies, fairs, priveledges, liberties and uthers particularlie and generallie abonementionat contenit in the said chartor.
