Oure soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the estates of this realme convenit togider in parliament, hes ratifiet and approvin and, be thir presents, ratifies and approves ane chartor maid and grantit be his majesties umquhile darrest father of eternall memorie to and in favours of his hienes richt traist cowsigne and counsallour Alexander, earle of Galloway, lord Stewart of Garleis, of the dait the sevinteine day of July jM vC tuentie thrie yeirs, off all and sundrie the lands and baronie of Corsewell, with castell, toure, fortalice, maner place, houses, biggings, yeards, orcheards, mylnes, multors, wodes, fischings, tennents, tennendries, service of frie tennents, haill pairts, pendicles and pertinents of the samyne lyand within the parochine of Kirkcum, personage and viccarage thairof, with libertie of frie burgh of baronie callit the burgh of Stewartoun, liberties and priveledges thairof, unite and annexit to the said baronie, and with libertie to the airs of the said earle to enter to the saidis lands, baronie and uthers contenit in the said chartor the tyme of thair minoritie, as in the said chartor at mair lenth is contenit, togider with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon and haill richts quhairupon the samyne proceidit, togider also with ane uther chartor maid and grantit be his majesties said umquhile darrest father to, and in favours of, the said Earle of Galloway, designit thairintillay of Alexander, lord Stewart of Gairleis, his airs male and assignais quhatsumever, off all and haill the lands of Grennane, extending to tuentie ane merk land of auld extent, with maner place, houses, biggings, yairds, orcheards, mylnes, mylnelands, multors and sequells thairof, with tennents, tennandries, service of frie tennents, annexis, connexis, parts, pendicles and pertinents thairof quhatsumever, lyand within the parochine of Dalry and stewartrie of Kirkcubricht, as in the said chartor of the dait the tuentie aucht day of July, jM vC and fourteine yeirs at lenth is contenit, togider with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon and haill richts quhairupon the samyne proceidit in the haill heads, articles, clauses, circumstances and conditiones thairof, of the samyne tua severall chartors and richts of the samyne. And oure said soverane lord, with advyse and consent of the estates of this realme, decernes and ordaines that the saidis infeftments and richts of the lands baronie and uthers abonewrittine grantit to the said Alexander, earle of Galloway in maner forsaid ar and sall be in all tyme coming sufficient richts, grounds and titles quhairby he and his saidis airs male and assignais sall bruik, joy and posseses the samyne in all tyme coming, and declairs this present confirmatioun and ratificatioun of the saidis infeftments to be als good, valide and effectuall as if the samyne had beine all at lenth insert in this present ratificatioun. And his majestie, with consent forsaid, dispenses heirby thairwith for ever and ordaines thir presents to be ane sufficient warrand for making of ane act in the said parliament conforme to the order usit in the lyke.
