Act in favour of the Earle Marschall

Oure soverane lord and estates of this present parliament have ratifiet and approvine and confirmit and, be the tennor heirof, ratifies, approves and confirmes the chartors and infeftments respective wnderwrittine, with the precepts and instruments of sasing respective following thairupon, viz: ane chartor and infeftment maid and grantit be his majesties umquhile darrest father, King James of happie and blissed memorie, wnder the great seale to his hienes traist cowsigne and counsallor umquhile George, earle Marschall, lord Keith etc., his airs male and assignais thairin specifiet, off all and haill the lands, lordschip and baronie of Inverugie, comprehending the lands, baronies, office of marschallrie and uthers offices, castells, towres, fortalices, mylnes, woodes, fischings, parks, forrests, tennents, tennendries and service of frie tennents and others respective, particularlie and generallie exprest and sett downe in the said chartor, and unit, annexit, creatt and incorporat in the said lordschip and baronie, all lyand be annexatione within the schirrefdome of Bamff, and als of all and haill the lands, lordschip and baronie of Dunnoter, comprehending thairin the lands, baronies, offices, castells, toures, fortalices, mylnes, woodes, fischings and uthers respective, particularlie and generallie exprest and sett downe in the samyne chartor, all lyand be annexatione within the schirrefdome of Kincairdin, quhilk chartor is of the dait the fyft day of August, jM vC fourscoir and sevine yeirs, with the precept and instrument of sasing fellowing thairupon. Item, ane other chartor and infeftment maid and grantit be his majesties said umquhile darrest father wnder his hienes great seale to the said umquhile George, earle Marschall, lord Keith etc., in lyfrent during all the dayes of his lyftyme, and to his hienes traist cowsigne and counsallour Williame, now earle Marschall, lord Keith and Altrie etc., designit thairine Williame Keith, eldest lawfull sone to the said umquhile George, earle Marschall, and to his airs male and of tailyie and assignais thairin specifiet in fie heretablie, off all and sundrie the saidis lands, lordschips and baronies of Inverugie and Dunnotar, comprehending the lands, baronies, offices, castells, toures, fortalices and uthers particularlie and generallie exprest and sett downe in the said chartor, quhilk is of the dait the tuentie saxt day of September, the yeir of God jM vC fourscoir and tuelff yeirs, with the precept and instrument of sasing following thairupon. Item, ane chartor and infeftment maid and grantit be his majesties said umquhile darrest father wnder the great seale to his majesties said traist cowsigne and counsallor Williame, now earle Marschall, designit thairin Williame, lord Keith, maister of Marschall, his airs male and of tailyie and assignais thairin specifiet, of all and sundrie the saidis lands, lordschipes and baronies of Inverugie and Dunnotar, comprehending the lands, baronies and uthers exprest and sett downe in the said chartor, quhilk is of the dait the tuentie ane day of October, the yeir of God jM vjC and tuelff yeirs, with the precepts and instruments of sasing following thairupon. And with ane act maid be our soverane lord, with advyse of his majesties secreit counsall betuix Williame, earle of Errole, high constable of this kingdome one the ane pairt, and the said Williame, earle Marschall, one the other pairt, anent the priveledges, liberties and extent of thair offices respective in guarding of the parliament hous during the sitting of the parliament in maner specifiet in the said act, quhilk is of the dait the sevinteine day of Junii instant, in the haill heads, articles, clausses, circumstances and conditiones thairof, and wills, grants and declairs that this present generall ratificatioun and approbatioun of the saidis thrie chartors, precepts, instruments of sasing and act respective is and sall be als valide, effectuall and sufficient to the said Williame, earle Marschall, his airs male and of tailyie and assignais thairin specifiet, as if the samyne thrie chartors, infeftments, precepts and instruments of sasing following thairupon and act respective and everie ane of thame wer at lenth word be word ingrost and sett downe heirintill; quhairanent his majestie and estates forsaidis have dispensit and be thir presents dispenses for ever.
