Procedure: protest; asking of instruments
The same day comperit ane noble lord Johne, lord Lindsay, and protestit that no ratificatioun, act nor graunt past in this present parliament in favours of the Duke of Lennox, his grace, sould be in any sort prejudiciall to him in his office of admiralitie within the regalitie of Sanctandrois, quhilk the said Johne, lord Lindsay hes and halds of the archibischope of Sanctandrois, bot that the said office and haill richt thairof sall be expreslie reservit furth of the said ratificatione. And thairupon the said Johne, lord Lindsay, askit instruments.
