Procedure: continuation of parliament

The whilk day the saidis commissionaris of this present parliament underwrittin, viz: Williame, erle of Menteythe, president of the privie counsale, Thomas, erle of Hadingtoun, lord privie seill, George, erle of Wintoune, Alexander, erle of Lynlythgow, Robert, erle of Roxburghe, Schir Archebald Achesone of Clancairny, knicht, his hienes secretar, Schir Johnne Hammiltoune of Magdalenis, knicht, clerk of register, and Schir Thomas Hope of Craighall, knicht barronet, advocat to oure soverane lord, haveing causit fens the foresaid parliament and call the suttis thairof as the day to the whilk the samene wes formarlie continowit, the said Schir Thomas Hope, his hienes advocat, produceit his majesteis lettre direct to the commissionaris for continowatioun of the said parliament. Whilk lettre being red,

The saidis commissionaris, for obedience thairof, hes continowit and continowis this present parliament in the same forme, force and effect etc., with all summondis, actiounes, causis and utheris materis belonging thairto whill the first day of Aprile 1631 yeiris nixtocume, with continuatioun of dayis, to be holdine then at Edinburghe or whair it sall happine his majestie and his hienes privie counsall to appoynt be thair lettres be oppen proclamatioun for that effect; and ordanes all the estaittis of parliament and utheris his hienes leigeis then to attend thairupone under the panes contenit in the actis of parliament of this realme. Wpoune the fensing of the quhilk parliament and continowatioun thairof foresaid and haill premisis abone writtin, the said Schir Thomas Hope, advocat to oure soverane lord, for his hienes interes, askit instrumentis.
