Warrant: for arms and ammunition
The convention of estates ordain the general of the artillery and his deputes to deliver out of the public magazine to Sir William Cochrane of Cowdoun for the use of the sheriffdom of Ayr 1,000 muskets and bandoliers, 2,000 weight of match and 1,000 weight of ball, the general of the artillery and his deputes first receiving either payment for the same or sufficient surety for restoring as much back again to the magazine between now and 1 May next.
