[Supplication of the Earl of Crawford for release from his imprisonment]

To his sacred majesty,

The humble petition of Ludovic [Lindsay], earl of Crawford, humbly shows whereas he has been detained in close prison this long time bygone to his great prejudice, and now having testified all that he knows in what has been demanded of him so far as his best memory did serve him, humbly desires that your sacred majesty will take order for his release or otherwise let him know what further the parliament has to say against him.

Your majesty's humble petitioner humbly desires an answer, Crawford

Read in audience of his majesty and parliament, who continue to give answer thereto until tomorrow.
