[Committees ordered to meet; warrant granted to the committee for the bills to examine witnesses summoned at the instance of Mr Donald Blair, minister; continuation]
The king being present.
Appoints the committee for the ministers of the north, and also the committee for the army, to meet after noon at 3 o'clock, and also the committee for the bills. And gives warrant to the said committee for the bills to examine the witnesses summoned at the instance of Master Donald Blair, minister, against Gray and others with this declaration: that the same shall not prejudice the party of his defences in the cause against the summons, and why witnesses ought not to be received, and also of his objections against any witness in particular, why he could not be received. Which defences and objections are reserved, notwithstanding the examination of the witnesses.
Thereafter the committees were discharged, and the several bodies appointed to meet this afternoon.
