Protestation of [John Hay, lord Yester] against the ratification in favour of [George Hay], earl of Kinnoull
In presence of the king's majesty and estates of parliament John, lord Yester, personally present, protested that the ratification granted in this present parliament by his majesty and estates of parliament in favour of George, earl of Kinnoull, of the contract made by [Gilbert Hay], earl of Erroll, with consent of his tutor and other persons contained therein, regarding the disposition to the said Earl of Kinnoull of the lands, lordship and barony of Erroll and others therein specified, with the infeftment of recognition and other rights mentioned in the said ratification, should be always without prejudice to the said Lord Yester, his heirs and successors regarding any infeftments or other rights granted to him, his authors or predecessors of the lands, lordship, barony and others above-specified; and thereupon asked instruments.
