Protestation for the king's udallers in Orkney
In presence of the king's majesty and estates of parliament convened in parliament, compeared personally Robert Hepburn, advocate, as procurator for the king's majesty's udallers of those lands in Orkney, and for the kindly possessors of the same udal lands solemnly protested that the ratification granted in this present parliament in favour of James Sinclair of Scalloway of his infeftments, rights and tacks of the lands, teinds and others therein specified should be always without prejudice to the king's majesty's udallers and kindly possessors of the udal lands in Orkney regarding their udal rights and possession thereof; and thereupon asked instruments.
