Ratification in favour of the ministers of Navar2

Our sovereign lord and estates of parliament, considering that forasmuch as it has pleased his sacred majesty out of his royal zeal and fatherly affection to the growth and increase of religion within this his majesty's ancient kingdom, by his signature, gift and disposition, dated 4 November instant, to give and convey to Master Laurence Skinner, minister of Navar, and his successor ministers at the said kirk, certain teind duties and feu duties which pertained of before to the bishopric of Brechin, extending to £255 13s 4d yearly, to be paid out of the particular places of teind and feu duties mentioned in the said signature of the bishopric of Brechin, and that in respect the present stipend of the said kirk of Navar, comprehending the whole valued teinds of the said parish, extending only to £213 83s with a chalder of victual, as the foresaid signature at length bears4, in all and sundry heads, articles and circumstances thereof, and for his highness and his successors, with consent of the estates of parliament, decree and ordain this present confirmation to be as valid and effectual to the said Master Laurence Skinner and his successor ministers serving the cure at the kirk of Navar in time coming as if the foresaid signature, gift and disposition were word by word inserted herein, concerning which, and with all that may follow thereupon, his majesty and estates of parliament dispense for ever. And further, his majesty and estates of parliament have dissolved and, by this ratification, dissolve the foresaid feu duties respectively, extending as said is, from his majesty's crown and patrimony thereof and from the bishopric of Brechin and all other benefices whatsoever, to which they were annexed or pertained of before, to the effect the same may remain with the said minister of Navar and his successors foresaid, as a part of their stipends at the said kirk perpetually in all time coming.
