Ratification in favour of [George Hay], earl of Kinnoull of his right of the lands of Erroll

Our sovereign lord and estates of parliament ratify and approve the contract and appointment of the date 25 and 21 July and August 1638, whereby Gilbert [Hay], now earl of Erroll, with consent of John [Lyon], earl of Kinghorn, his tutor testamentary for his interest, and the said Earl of Kinghorn, for himself, as tutor testamentary and in name and on behalf of the said Earl of Erroll in respect of his pupillarity for the time, with consent of certain other persons nominated therein, alienated and conveyed to his majesty's right trusty cousin and councillor George, earl of Kinnoull etc., his male heirs and assignees, the lands, lordship and barony of Erroll and certain other lands, baronies, teinds and others contained therein, with the minute of contract whereupon the same proceeded and the infeftment of recognition and all other infeftments, tacks and other rights and securities made to the said George, earl of Kinnoull, or any of his authors, of and concerning the lands, baronies and others mentioned in the said contract or of any part or parts thereof, in all points, articles and clauses contained therein and after the forms and tenors thereof. And declare this present general ratification thereof to be as sufficient in all respects as if the same were particularly and word by word inserted and engrossed herein, dispensing by this ratification with the not inserting thereof.
