Ratification to Master Harry Chap
Our sovereign lord, with advice and consent of the estates of this present parliament, for sundry weighty causes moving his highness, has ratified and approved the charter and infeftment under the great seal, dated 1 March 1634, made in favour of Master Harry Chap of Ormiston, advocate, in liferent, and Master James Chap, his son, in fee, his heirs and assignees specified therein, of two ploughs of land of the Grange of Lindores, called Ormiston Wood and Whitepark, and others specified in the said charter, together with the instrument of sasine and all other rights and securities following thereupon, in the whole heads, clauses and conditions thereof, and declares this present ratification to be as valid and effectual as if the said charter, instrument of sasine and all other writs, rights and securities following thereupon were inserted and set down herein at length word for word, notwithstanding the same be not so done; concerning which our said sovereign lord and estates of parliament have dispensed and hereby dispense for ever.
