Ratification to the town of Aberdeen of the kirk of St Nicholas
Our sovereign lord and whole estates of this present parliament ordain an act to be made therein ratifying and approving the letters of gift made and granted by our said sovereign lord to and in favour of the provost, bailies, council and community of the burgh of Aberdeen now present, and to their successors in all time coming, of the date 11 November instant, whereby our said sovereign lord, for the considerations contained therein, has given, granted, founded, mortified and conveyed to the said provost, bailies, council and community of the said burgh and their successors in all time coming, all and whole the kirk of St Nicholas within the said burgh, with the whole teinds, parsonage and vicarage thereof, together with the right of patronage and presentation of the ministers thereto, as often and so often as the same shall happen to occur in time coming, to remain with the said provost, bailies, council and community of the said burgh and their successors forever in all time coming; and also have united and annexed the said kirk of St Nicholas and teinds, parsonage and vicarage thereof, with the right of patronage thereof foresaid, to the said burgh of Aberdeen, and have ordained that a sasine to be now once taken thereof by the said provost, bailies, council and community of the said burgh at the market cross thereof shall stand effectual and be a sufficient sasine to them forever in all time coming, without any necessity of taking new sasine thereof at any time thereafter, to be held in manner specified in the said gift, as the same of the date foresaid at more length bears, in all and sundry the heads, clauses and conditions contained therein, and after the form and tenor thereof in all points.
