Ratification in favour of [James Livingstone], lord Almond

Our sovereign lord, with advice and consent of the estates of this present parliament now convened, by this legislation, ratifies and approves the infeftments and other rights made and granted by his majesty or his highness's predecessors or by any abbots or bishops for the time or by whatsoever others to and in favour of his majesty's right trusty cousin and councillor James, lord Livingstone of Almond and Callander, and his predecessors or authors of or concerning the lands and barony of Falkirk, comprehending the towns, lands and others contained in the infeftments thereof, lying within the sheriffdom of Stirling, and of the liberty and privileges of a regality, free chapel and chancellery and office of heritable bailiary and justiciary of the same lands and barony, and within the whole bounds thereof, with all fees, casualties, profits and duties pertaining and belonging thereto, and of the advocation, donation and right of patronage of the parish kirk of Falkirk and of the kirks of Muiravonside and Denny, which are pendicles of the same kirk of Falkirk of old annexed thereto, as well parsonage as vicarage thereof, with all and sundry teind sheaves and small teinds of the said kirks and pertinents thereof, lying within the sheriffdom foresaid; and of all and whole the lands and barony of Ogilface, comprehending the towns and others contained in the infeftments thereof, lying within the sheriffdom of Linlithgow, with the heritable office of bailiary and justiciary within the whole bounds of the same lands, and that in the whole heads, articles, clauses, conditions and circumstances of the same rights and infeftments, which in any way may be conceived in favour of the said James, lord Almond, his heirs and successors, saving and reserving to his majesty and his highness's successors the duties, rights and services used and wont to be paid to his majesty and his highness's predecessors for the lands and others foresaid before this present confirmation. Moreover, our said sovereign lord, with consent of the estates foresaid, wills and grants and, for his majesty and his highness's successors, decrees and ordains that this present general ratification of the said infeftments and rights of the lands, baronies, rights, offices and others above-written is and shall be as valid and sufficient to the said James, lord Almond, his heirs and successors as if the same with the whole dates, tenors and contents thereof were all word by word and at length inserted herein, concerning which his majesty, for his highness and his majesty's successors, has dispensed and by this ratification dispenses. And further, his majesty, with consent foresaid, decrees and ordains the same infeftments and rights to stand good, valid and effectual to the said James, lord Almond and his foresaids in all time coming, notwithstanding of any act of parliament in the contrary or which in any way may be prejudicial to the validity of the said rights, and ordains a new right and infeftment of the same lands, baronies, right of patronage, offices and privileges respectively above-specified to be granted, passed and completed under his majesty's great seal to the said James, lord Almond, his heirs and successors whensoever they shall require the same, which our said sovereign lord, with advice and consent foresaid, for his majesty and his highness's successors, now as then and then as now, by this legislation ratifies and approves, according to the tenor thereof, in all points.
