Warrant regarding Colonel [John] Cochrane's incarceration
The which day the supplication given in to the king and parliament by Colonel Cochrane, showing the manner and reasons of his conveyance, contrary to the parliament's order, and offering now to go thither, upon warrant for his reception and to underlie all trial of what is laid to his charge, being read in audience of his majesty and estates of parliament, who command the said Colonel Cochrane to be imprisoned within the tolbooth of Edinburgh.
