Warrant: for the liberation of Captain Forbes
Warrant for putting Captain Forbes to liberty

The which day, report being made to the estates of parliament by [Alexander Elphinstone], lord Elphinstone, as president of the committee for the bills, regarding the supplication given in by Captain Forbes desiring to be set at liberty out of the tolbooth of Edinburgh where he remains incarcerated, the said estates ordain the said Captain Forbes to be set at liberty whensoever Sir William Forbes of Craigievar shall desire, and that in respect the said Sir William acted and obliged himself in the books of parliament to put the said Captain Forbes out of the country and not to take him out of the tolbooth until the ship be ready for his transportation.
