Procedure: dispensation to the sheriff of Selkirk
The which day the supplication given in by William Scott, sheriff depute of Selkirk, craving liberty to hold a court for deducing a service before the sheriff of Selkirk and his deputes, being read in audience of the estates of parliament and the desire thereof considered by them, the estates grant dispensation to the sheriff of Selkirk and his deputes for holding of courts to the effect above-specified.
