Answer by the parliament to the justice deputes' supplication
The estates of parliament, having read and considered the supplication given in to them by the justice deputes, craving advice from the parliament regarding their proceeding in pronouncing sentence upon the conviction of William Fraser for the slaughter of Edward Scola, the said estates remit the same again to [Sir William Elphinstone], justice, to proceed therein according to the laws of the kingdom.
