Ratification to [George Aitken of Underedge], laird of Aitken of a deliverance of council.
Supplication by Walter Stewart against [Sir William Forbes of] Craigievar, the parties being heard in presence of the articles, appoints [John Leslie], earl of Rothes, [David Carnegie, earl of] Southesk and [James Lyon], laird of Auldbar to speak with Craigievar regarding this.
Act suppressing the distinction and difference of spiritual and temporal lords of session read, voted and passed in articles, and [John Stewart, earl of Traquair], the commissioner's grace, required [Sir Thomas Hope of Craighall], advocate, to draw up an act discharging ministers from any civil places or meddling in any civil business.
Commission to the earl of Southesk of the justiciary of the salmon fishing in Northesk read, voted and passed in articles.
[Complaint by the Earl of Argyll against Sir Donald Gorme considered; Sir Donald Gorme absolved]
Regarding the complaint given in against Sir Donald Gorme by [Archibald Campbell], earl of Argyll, the parties being called and Sir Donald examined upon certain interrogators, which he denied, as is extant in the process, whereupon Sir Donald is absolved.
