The supplication presented by Sir William Stewart, craving restitution of his goods and that the estates would try and declare that the taking of the castle of Dumbarton was against his will and without his knowledge, but he altogether innocent of any undutiful proceeding, read in articles, who appoint [Robert Ker, earl of Roxburghe], lord privy seal, [George Gordon], marquis of Huntly and [John Maitland, earl of] Lauderdale to hear the supplicant's desires and report the same again to the articles.

The supplication presented by [Robert Balfour], lord [Balfour of] Burleigh and heritors of land beside the park of Falkland, craving that the fencing of the park of Falkland may be repaired, being read in articles and [John Murray], earl of Annandale heard thereupon, [John Leslie], earl of Rothes is appointed to meet with the Earl of Annandale and Lord Burleigh and speak regarding the way for redress of the grievances and prejudices contained in the complaint.

Supplication presented by the administrators of Heriot's Hospital, craving that the securities passed between the Earl of Roxburghe and them may be delivered to them and ratified in parliament, being read in articles, who appoint the supplicants to speak with [John Stewart, earl of Traquair], the commissioner's grace, regarding the writs specified therein.

[Subcommittee for the act of pacification appointed; act regarding leasing-makers revived]

Act of pacification being read in articles, who appoint [Robert Ker, earl of Roxburghe], lord privy seal, [George Gordon], marquis of Huntly, [John Maitland], earl of Lauderdale, [David Carnegie], earl of Southesk, [Sir Thomas Hope of Craighall], king's advocate, and [Sir John Hamilton of Orbiston], justice clerk, and [Sir James Carmichael], treasurer [depute], with some others, to speak with [John Stewart, earl of Traquair], the commissioner's grace, and consider upon the said act.

2Act regarding leasing makers between the king and his subjects, and ordaining the council and session to be censurable to the parliament, read in articles, who appoint the acts of parliament against leasing makers to be revived, with this addition: that no dignity of quality or office whatsoever shall exempt them from the said act.
