Procedure: fencing of parliament

Whereupon the said commissioners of parliament, namely: John [Drummond], earl of Perth, John [Maitland], earl of Lauderdale, David [Carnegie], earl of Southesk, Alexander [Elphinstone], lord Elphinstone, Archibald [Napier], lord Napier and Sir Thomas Hope of Craighall, knight, his highness's advocate, commissioners constituted by his majesty's commission foresaid under his highness's quarter seal, of the date above-written, for fencing and continuing of this present parliament in manner foresaid, caused lawfully fence this present high court of parliament, and thereafter,
