Ratificatioun to the Lord Carnegye of his baronye of Ferne etc.

Oure soverane lord and estaittis of this present parliament ratiefies and apprevis the chartour maid and grantit be his majestie under his hienes gryit seale to his majesties right traist cousing and counsellour David, lord Carnegye of Kynnarde, his aires maill and assigneyis off the landis and baronie off Ferne, comprehending the landis conteanit in the said chartour, with the advocatioun, donatioun and rycht off patronage off the kirk of Ferne, personage and viccarage thairoff, alsueill off all landis lyand of auld within the said parochin of Ferne as of the personage and viccarage off the landis of Waterstoun, with the pertinentis underwrittin, viz: of the manis of Waterstoun, Eister and Wester Hertounes, milne and milnelandis of Waterstoun, Windisoir and Blaklawes mortiefied and annexit to the said kirk, off the date the tuentie tua day off Apryill, j^M vj^C and nynetene yeiris; the lettres of procuratorie, dispositioun and mortificatioun of the teindis of the saidis landis of Waterstoun, with the pendicles and pertinentis thairoff abovewrittin, to the said kirk off Ferne and to the personage and viccarage thairoff maid and grantit be umquhile Alexander, bischope of Breichin, titular of the personage teindis of the saidis landis, as ane pairt of the patrimonie of the said bischoprik, and be Robert Kinnear, vicare of the said kirk of Breichin, titular of the viccarage teindis of the saidis landis, with consent of the deane, channones and cheptour of the cathredrall kirk off Breichin, off the date in anno j^M vj^C and ane yeiris, with the chartour of mortificatioune following thairupoun, maid and grantit be his majestie under his hienes gryit seale off the date the fourt day of Junii, j^M vj^C and sex yeiris, with the preceptis and instrumentis of sasing following upoun the saidis tua chartouris and with all infeftmentis, rightis and tytilles maid and grantit to David Lindsay of Edyell, umquhile Schir David Lindsay of Edyell, knycht, his father, thair predicessoures or authoures of the foirsaid advocatioun, donatioune and right of patronage of the said kirk of Ferne, personage and viccarage thairoff, in all and sindrie poyntis, articles and clauses thairin contenit, efter the formes and tennouris thairoff; and declairis this present ratieficatioun to be als sufficient in all respectis as gif the infeftmentis, rychtes and tytillis abovementionat wer at lenthe insert heirintill, dispensing withe the not inserting thairoff.
