Ratificatioun in favouris of Johnne Murray, grome in his majesties bedchalmer

Oure soverane lord and estatis of this present parliament, remembring the lang and gude service done to his majestie be his hienes trustie and familiar servitoure Johnne Murray, grome of his majesties bedchalmer, in his diligent attendance upoun his hienes sacred persoun continualie sen the said Johnne Murrayis infancie, as is mair nor notoure and manifest to the saidis estaittis, thairfore oure said soverane lord and estaittis foirsaidis ratefeis, approvis and perpetualie confirmis the charters, infeftmentis and utheris underwrittin, to witt, ane infeftment under the great seall of the dait at Quhitehall, the fyft day of Marche, the yeir of God ane thowsand sex hundreth nyne yeris, maid and grantit be his majestie to the said Johnne Murray and to his airis maill mentionat thairintill, off all and sindrie the landis, baronies and utheris of auld pertening to the sometyme abbacie of Dundranane, generalie and particularlie mentionat in the said infeftment, belanging to the temporalitie of the said sumtyme abbacie, lyand within the stewartrie of Kirkcudbricht, dissolvit of befoir fra his majesties croune and fra the act of annexatioun of all kirklandis to the croune, of the dait the nynetene day of Julii, the yeir of God ane thowsand, fyve hundreth foure scoir sevin yeris, be virtew of ane uther act of parliament of the dait at Perth, the nynt day of Julii the yeir of God ane thowsand sex hundreth and sex yeris, and als of all and sindrie the teyndschavis and utheris teyndis, alsweill personage as vicarage, fructis, rentis and deweties quhatsomevir of the paroche kirkis of Dundranane, als Rerik, and Kirkmabrek, quhilkis of before pertenit to the said sometyme abbacie of Dundranane as ane part of the spiritualitie of the same, all unitit, annexat and incorporat in ane fre baronie callit the baronie of Dundranane, with divers privilegis and immunities pertening thairto, together with the foirsaid act of parliament datit at Perth twitching the foirsaid dissolution, quhairupon the said infeftment procedit, and conforme to the quhilk act the samyn was grantit, with the precept, instrument of sesing and all that hes followit thairupoun, and siclyke that uther infeftment of the dait at Grenewitche, the first day of Julii lastbypast, maid and grantit be oure said soverane lord to and in favouris of the said Johne Murray and his airis maill mentionat thairintill, off all and sindrie the landis and baronie of Lochmaben, comprehending generalie and particularlie as is set downe in the said infeftment, lyand within the stewartrie of Annanderdaill and schirefdome of Dumfreis, togither with the heritable office of the custodie and keping of the castell and fortalice of Lochmabane with all and sindrie partes, privilegis and commodities pertening thairto, with the office of the stewartrie of Annanderdale and all and sindrie dewties, casualities and privilegis thairto belanging, and specialie the assignatioun of fouretye pundis, thre schillingis, foure penneis and threttye twa mairtis contenit in the said infeftment, gevin and disponit to the said Johnne Murray and his foirsaidis as fee and dewtie for keping of the said castell of Lochmabane, all lyand as said is, and unitit and annexat in ane haill and fre baronie callit the baronie of Lochmabane, with the preceptis, instrumentis of sesing and all that hes followit upoun the saidis infeftmentis in all and sindrie headis, poyntis, clauses, articles, circumstances and conditiounes specifeit and exprest in the saidis infeftmentis and securities abonewrittin; and ordanis this present act and ratificatioun foirsaid to be als gude, valide and effectuall to the said Johnne Murray and his foirsaidis as gif all the saidis infeftmentis and securities war heirintill exprest and set downe ad longum de verbo in verbum. Attoure, for the causes foirsaidis, oure said soverane lord and estates hes dissolvit and disunited and be thir presentis dissolvis and disunitis fra his majesties croune the foirnamit haill landis and baronies of Dundranane and Lochmabane and pertinentis thairof, and all utheris generalie and particularlie mentionat in the saidis infeftmentis, to the effect that the samyn may be disponit of new agane be oure said soverane lord to the said Johnne Murray, his airis maill and assignais heretablie, to be haldin of his majestie and his hienes successouris siclyke and in the samyn forme and maner of halding and for payment of sic dewtyes as is contenit in the saidis infeftmentis maid and grantit to the said Johnne Murray thairupoun of before. And siclyke oure said soverane lord and estaittis foirsaidis hes disolvit fra his majesties croune the advocatioun, donatioun and rycht of patronage of the paroche kirk of Lochmaben, personage and vicarage thairof, quhilk pertenit and was at his majesties presentatioun as patroun thairof, to that effect; lykewyse that the said patronage may be disolvit be his majestie be his hienes infeftment under the great seill to the said Johne Murray and his foirsaidis, and that the said patronage of the kirk of Lochmabane be virtew of the samyn infeftment may be unitit and annext to the said baronie of Lochmabane, and that the said Johnne Murray and his foirsaidis may be maid heritable patrounes of the said kirk. Lykeas oure said soverane lord and estaittis foirsaidis findis and declaris that the consent of the present titulars of the said kirk of Lochmabane, personage and vicarage thairof, is nawyse necessair thairto, notwithstanding of the act of parliament maid in the yeir of God ane thowsand, fyve hundreth foure score threttene yeris, or of ony uther act, statute and ordinance, civile, cannoun or municipall quhairby is requirit the consentis of titulars to all giftis and infeftmentis of patronages of kirkis, with the quhilkis actis, lawis and constitutiones his majestie and estaittis foirsaidis dispenses, and that the samyn nor nane of thame sall mak ony dirogatioun to this present act.
