²Act in favouris of the Laird of Lugton anent Sanct Leonards hospitall

Oure soverane lord and estaittis of parliament, remembering the godlie fundatioun and erectioun maid be umquhile George, bischop of Dunkeld, of the hospitall situat besyd the watteryett in the Cannogait of Edinburgh, and that the samin hes bene proffitable to sindrie his hienes pure lieges, chaplanis and beidmen appointit be the said fundatioun and erectioun for bruiking of the fruittis and rentis dotit to them be the said erectioun and fundatioun and otheris chartouris, preceptis and instrumentis of seasing following thairupoun. And to the effect that the patrones appointit be the said fundatioun and thair collectour and ministeris of the said hospitall and the present chaplanis and beidmen of the samin and thair successouris may the mair peceablie and frelie bruik and jois all and sindrie fruittis, rentis and emolumentis pertening to the said hospitall, chaplanis and beidmen foundit and erectit be the said fundatioun in all tyme cumming, thairfoir oure said soverane lord, estaittis and haill bodie of this present parliament ratefeis, appreves and, for his heighnes and his successouris, perpetualie confermis the chartour, erectioun and fundatioun of the hospitall abonewrittin, togidder with all and sindrie infeftmentis, chartouris, preceptis and instrumentis of seasing following, proceiding and dependand upoun the said chartour, erectioun and fundatioun grantit in favouris of the saidis patrones, collectors and maisteris, and of the saidis chaplanis and beidmen of the said hospitall, in all and sindrie points, articlis, clauses, provisionis and conditionis thairin contenit; and decernis and declairis the foirsaid erectioun and fundatioun to be ane perfyte, valide and sufficient and securitie to the saidis patrones, collectouris and maisteris and to the saidis chaplanis and beidmen for bruiking and joising of thair liberteis and privileges of the lands, tenementis and annuelrentis, with thair pertinentis, dotit and disponit to the said hospitall, conforme to the chartour, erectioun and fundatioun in all pointis, and that the maillis, fermes, proffeittis and dueteis of the saidis landis, tenementis and annuelrentis, alsweill of all yeiris and termes bipast sen the date of the said fundatioun, as yeirlie and termelie in all tyme cummig hes justlie appertenit and appertenis to the said hospitall, to be collectit, upliftit and disponit upoun be the collectouris of the said hospitall and divydit and distributit to the chaplanis and beidmen thairof nominat and to be nominat be David Creichtoun of Lugtoun, now patrone of the said hospitall, and be his airis maill and successouris patrones thairof, in all tyme cumming; and als willis and declaris that this present confirmatioun and ratificatioun is and shall be of als great force, strenth and effect, as gif the foirsaid erectioun and fundatioun, togidder with all and sindrie chartouris, preceptis and instrumentis of seasing following thairupoun, maid and grantit to and in favouris of the saidis patrones and collectouris and maisteris of the saidis chaplanis and beidmen wer word be word insert and ingrossit in this present act, wheiranent oure said soverane lord, with advyse foirsaid, be thir presentis dispenses for now and evir.
