Ratificatioun to Adam Couper of his infeftment of Gogar

27. Oure soverane lord and thrie estaittis of this present parliament, considering the trew, reddie and afauld service done to his hienes be Adam Couper, ane of the ordinar clerkis of his majesteis sessioun, thairfoir hes ratefeit and approvin and, be thir presentis, for his hienes and his successouris, ratefeis and appreves the charter and infeftment maid and grantit be umquhile Robert Logane of Restalrig, with expres consent and assent of Andro Logane of Coitfeild, to the said Adame Couper, his airis and assignais, of all and sindrie the towne and landis of Nather Gogar, with houses, biggingis, yairdis, orchardis, doucatt, toftis, croftis, outsettis, tennentis, tennandreis, service of frie tennentis, annexis, connexis and all thair pertinentis lyand within the schirefdome of Edinburgh, togidder with his hienes charter of confirmatioun grantit to the said Adam under the great seall thairupoun, to be haldin of his majestie and his successouris in maner and forme contenit in the said confirmatioun, as the samin of the date at Halyrudhous, the sevintene day of Februar j^M vj^C and ane yeiris at lenth proportis, and all and sindrie heidis, articlis, conditiounes, circumstances and clauses thairof, eftir the forme and tennoure of the saidis charter and confirmatioun in all pointis; and willis and grantis that this present confirmatioun is and in all tymes cumming sall be als sufficient, valide and effectuall in all respectis to the said Adam Couper, his airis and assignais as gif the said charter of alienatioun and his hienes charter foirsaid of confirmatioun thairof wer specialie and at lenth word be word insert and ingrossit in this present act, notwithstanding the generalitie thairof. Lykas our said soverane lord and estaittis foirsaidis willis and declaris and, for his hienes and his successouris, decernis and ordanis that the said charter, infeftment and confirmatioun ar and sall be in all tymes heireftir sufficient, valide and perfyte richtis to the said Adame and his foirsaidis for bruiking and joising of all and sindrie the foirsaidis landis, privileges and immunites thairin contenit, notwithstanding quhatsumevir richt competent to oure said soverane lord be ressoun of nonentres, recognitioun, foirfaltour, crymes of treassoun and lesemajestie, or for ony uther cause or occasioun bigane preceding the day and dait heirof, but questioun, trubill or impediment.
