Annexatioun of the personage and vicarage of Glasgou to the archibischoprik thereof
Oure soverane lord and estaites of parliament, haiving consideratioun that the rentis and yeirlie proffeitis of the archibischoprik of Glasgow ar greatlie exhaustit be fewis, pensiouns and otherwayes, and that for supplie thairof his hienes wes pleased to provyde Johne, now archibischop of Glasgow, to the personage and vicarage of the samyn and to the haill fructis, rentis, dewtyes, emolumentis and casualities belonging thairto during his lyftyme, for diverse wechtie causes and considerationis moving his hienes and estaites foirsaidis, unitis, annexis and incorporatis the saidis personage and vicarage of Glasgo, with the haill fructis, rentis, deuties, emolumentis and casualities of the samyn, to the said archibischoprik of Glasgow, to remane thairwith for evir, inseparablie as a propir pairt and pertinent of the patrimonie thairof, sua that the provisioun maid, or to be maid, be his hienes to the said Johne, now archbischop, and his successoures of the said bischoprik salbe, in all tyme cumming, als valiable and sufficient to them for bruiking, joising, uplifting and ressaving the haill fructis, rentis and emolumentis of the said personage and vicarage of Glasgo, or otherwayes using, setting and disponing the same as the said archbischop or any of his predicessoures have bruikit, joysit, upliftit, ressavit and usit any of the auld and auncient rentis and fructis annexat and incorporat to the said archbischoprik be the former fundationis in any tyme bygane. And to that effect his majestie, with avyse of the saidis estaites, dissolves the saidis benefices of the personage and vicarage of Glasgow from his hienes croune in sa far as the samyn wer severall benefices be them selfes, willing and ordaning the samyn to be and be estemit a proper pairt and patrimonie of the said archbischoprik of Glasgow, and to be conjoynit with the presentatioun of the said archbischoprik in all tyme cuming, but prejudice alwayes of the Lord of Blantyre and his sones takes of the personage and vicarage of Glasgow.
