The quhilk day Schir George Home of Wedderburne, knycht, comptroller, promesit and tuik upoun him to furneis thair majesties houses and the haill ordinar burdenis of his office honorablie upoun the rentis of the offices quhilkis he hes presentlie, and that befoir ony payment of ony debtis auchtand be his majestie to ony persoun for ony caus quhatsumever preceiding, and that the kingis majestie suld not be mistaikit in the premises; quhairanent he salbe answerable to the kingis majestie and estaitis and comptable in his hienes chekker conforme to use and wount. And by and attoure the premises, the said comptroller sall mak sufficient assignatioun of ten thowsand pundis for intertenement of the prince and princes houses, and siclyke sall mak sufficient assignatioun yeirlie of tuentie fyve thowsand pundis to be payit to Thomas Fowllis and Robert Jowsie, thair cautionaris and creditouris, and thir presentis to haif effect and begyn the first of November nixtocum.
