Commissioun for setting the priceis of the cunyie
The kingis majestie, with avise of his nobilitie, counsale and esteatis presentlie convenit, gevis and grantis full pouer and commissioun, expres bidding and charge to Walter, lord Blantyre, thesaurair, Schir Archibald Naper of Edinbillie, knicht, Johne Arnot, Henrie Nesbitt, Thomas Foullis, Williame Naper, Francis Naper, George Hereot, eldair, or ony fyve of thame conjunctlie, to sett doun ane table of the prices of all gold and silver usuallie inbrocht within this realme according to the avale, wecht and fynnes thairof quhilk his majesties maister cunyeour salbe astrictit to pay to the inbringaris thairof heireftir; and that the same table be affixt oppinlie in the hous of exchange quhairthrou the samin may the bettir cum to the knaulege of his hienes subjectis at all occasionis, ferme and stable halding and for to hald all and quhatsumevir thingis thay sall lauchtfullie do heirin etc.
