Ratificatioun to the commendater of Pettinveyme

Oure soverane lord and estaitis of this present perliament, remembring the guid, trew and thankfull service done to his hienes be Williame, commendater of Pettinveme, alsweill within the realme as in dyvers utheris nationis without the same, not onlie tending to his majesties awin perticular bot also to the publict estait and weilfair of the realme, quhairin the said commendater hes sustenit greit chargis and expenses; in recompanse of ane pert quhairof, oure said soverane lord, with avise of the lordis of his hienes secreit counsaill, and als with consent of Schir Thomas Lyoun of Auldbar, knicht, his majesties thesaurer, Schir Robert Melvill of Murdocarny, knicht, thesaurer depute, and Maister Robert Douglas, provest of Lincluden, collectour generall and thesaurer of the new augmentationis, for thair entres, maid and constitute the said commendater, his depuittis and substitutis his hienes lauchtfull undoutit and irrevocable actoris, chalmerlanis and baillies of the haill temporall landis, lordschippis, baronies and utheris quhatsumevir quhilkis pertenit to the archebischoiprie of Sanctandrois, quhairevir the same ly within this realme, gevand and grantand to him and his foirsaidis full pouer to ask, crave, uplift and ressave all and sindre males, fermes, teyndis, fruittis, rentis, annuelrentis, canys, custumes, accidentis and casualities quhatsumevir pertening to the same off all yeiris and termes restand unpait the tyme of the granting of the said lettre of chalmerlanrie, quhilkis was upoun the first day of Maii the yeir of God j^M v^C fourscoir nyn yeiris, and siclyk yeirlie and termelie thaireftir during the space of fyftene yeiris, as the said lettre of gift grantit to the said commendater under the privie seill of the dait foirsaid in the self at mer lenth proportis. And to the effect that the said lettre and gift may be mair valide and effectuall to the said commendater and his foirsaidis, thairfoir, and for dyvers uther guid causes and considerationis, oure said soverane lord, with avise of his saidis estaitis, be the tennoure heirof, ratifies, apprevis and confermes the said lettre and gift in all and sindre heidis, pointis, articles, clauses and conditionis contenit thairintill, declaring the said gift and all utheris lettres of factorie and actis of secreit counsaill and richtis grantit to the said commendater thairupoun to have bene and to be sufficient and undoutit richt and titill to the said commendater and his foirsaidis for bruiking and joysing of all and haill the maillis, fermes, dewties, canys, custumes, casualities and utheris pertlie abonespecifiit belanging to the said archebischoiprie, and for using the haill liberties, privilegeis and commodities mentionat in the foirsaid gift during the space and yeris abonwrittin thairin contenit, nochtwithstanding of the act of annexatioun of the temporalitie of all benefices within this realme to the croun, maid in the parliament haldin at Edinburgh, the xxix day of Julii the yeir of God j^M v^C fourscoir sevin yeiris, or quhatsumevir utheris actis, lawis or constitutionis maid in the contrair heirof.
