Ratificatioun to the constable of Dundie

Oure soverane lord and estaitis of this present perliament, for the guid, trew and thankfull service done to his hienes at dyvers tymes ofbefoir be his hienes weilbelovit Schir James Scrymgiour of Duddop, knicht, and hes ratifiet, approvin and confirmit and be the tennour of this present act ratifies, apprevis and confirmis the infeftment, donatioun and dispositioun thairin contenit maid and grantit be oure said soverane lord efter his hienes perfite age of tuentie ane yeris compleit and revocatioun generall to the said Schir James Scrymgeour and to his aris maill lauchtfullie gottin or to be gottin of his bodie, quhilkis falyeing, to James Scrymgeour, lauchtfull sone to Robert Scrymgeour, quha wes father bruther of the said Schir James, and the aris maill to be lauchtfullie gottin of his bodie, quhilkis also falyeing, to certane uther personis and thair aris maill and of taillie nominat in the said infeftment, off all and sindre landis, baronies, mylnis, multuris and utheris thairin contenit, unite and annexit be vertew of the said infeftment in ane haill and frie baronie to be callit in all tymes cuming the baronie of Dundie, and grantand the tower and fortalice of Dudop to be the principall messuage of the said baronie, and that the sesing tane be the said Schir James and to be tane be his aris in tyme cuming salbe sufficient at the said messuage of Duddop, notwithstanding that the saidis landis, baronies and utheris thairin contenit lyis not contigue and togidder bot in dyvers places and schirefdomes, quhilk infeftment contenis also ane new dispositioun grantit be his hienes to the said Schir James and his aris maill and of tallie foirsaidis off all and sindre the landis, baronies, mylnes, multuris, woddis, fischingis and utheris particularlie thairin expressit, with advocatioun, donatioun and richt of patronage of the personage of the kirk and perochin of Dundie, with all richt and titill, entres, actioun and clame of richt, baith petitor and possessour, that his hienes, his predicessouris and successouris had, hes or may pretend thairto be quhatsumevir maner of way ac cum supplemento omnium defectum etc., as the said infeftment of the dait at Halruidhous, the fyftene day of November the yeir of God j^M v^C fourscoir, past under his hienes greit seill, at mer lenth proportis. And farder his hienes and estaitis willis, grantis, statutis and ordanis that this present confirmatioun salbe als guid, valide and effectuall to the said Schir James, his aris maill and assignais as gif his said infeftment wer at lenth insert in this present act and registrat in the buikis of perliament; and also statutis and ordanis that the saidis infeftment and this present act salbe guid, valide and sufficient richtis to the said Schir James and his foirsaidis for bruiking and joysing heretablie in tyme cuming alsueill of all and sindrie the landis, baronies, mylnes, multuris, woddis, fischingis and utheris expressit and contenit in the said infeftment as of all and sindre bandis, fies, custumes, assises, rentis, proffittis, privilegeis, immunities and dewties quhatsumever grantit be his hienes or ony of his maist noble progenitouris to the said Schir James or ony of his predicessouris, ather as constable of Dundie for using of the office thairof, or for the bearing of his hienes baner in tyme of weir, or for quhatsumevir uther caus or occasioun bypast to be intromettitwith, upliftit, ressavit and disponit be him and his foirsaidis in tyme cuming siclyk and als frelie in all respectis as he or ony of his predicessouris did ofbefoir.
